What is the GRI standard?
The GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) is the most used extra-financial reporting framework in the world. Created in the late 1990s, it offers a structured, modular and sectoral framework for documenting the ESG impacts of an organization, in line with the expectations of stakeholders.
In 2021, the GRI standards were updated to better integrate the materiality of impacts, in line with the future CSRD.
The GRI is used in more than 100 countries by around 20,000 listed companies, public institutions, NGOs and SMEs in a voluntary transparency process.
